H1053Z - SURFACE MOUNT SPRING HANDLE

Generous size, comfortable rubber grip. Lays flat but is easy to lift and use when required. Comes with a backer plate for use inside the case -- Just drill out the top center rivet holding the front, back and handle together (top center in photo). It's a little tricky to apply the front plate and handle with the spring in the right position, but doesn't require special tools or skills. I attached the top center rivet first, after drilling the hole through the case, then drillled the bottom center hole and installed that rivet. Then drill and rivet the 4 remaining holes.

I have purchased numerous items from DIY and when I had questions I called and got the answers I needed. Great experience will continue to shop and use.

Handles are great and works well and folds down when not in use.

This is a very strong spring loaded handle. The stay down when not in use and do not flap around. I had to reinforce the plywood side of the case so that I could carry it like a brief case on the long side. This is only due to the excessive weight and the length of the side. The handle has a hard rubber/plastic grip so it is comfortable to hold on to.

The handles are very durable. Have purchased several over the past year or two and they are well built products.
