Description
Small Strut Hinge Lid Stay - This surface-mount lid stay has a built-in hinge. May be used as a stand-alone hinge (in pairs, or three at a time) on small cases in place of a standard hinge or continuous hinge. Or it may be used in conjunction with a continuous hinge on medium-size cases. Either way, the built-in lid stay eliminates the need for any other lid stays to prevent the lid from flopping over backwards when open.

Great Hinge
I used them on a 29"w 1/4" thick wall project. DYI recommended that I add some continuous hinge in between these to add strength, but only because of the thin wall. They work perfectly together. I'm not sure it was really needed, but I took the advice and I'm happy the way it turned out. The stay is just what I needed for an instrument case.
