Description
This is a standard twist latch. When we say "Mini" we mean really small. This small latch is only for use in the smallest of space restriction scenarios. Please do not try and substitute it for our other latches just to save money - as you will be disappointed in its truly small size. This a latch for special circumstances where space is of the only concern. This is a two-piece dish assembly and requires extra cuts to the tongue & groove, or hybrid, extrusions for installation. These dishes have NO offsets to accommodate the tongue & groove, or hybrid, extrusions, and simply install right over the top of the extrusions.
Rivets Required For Installation: 8
Six of the rivets require backing washers, or a backplate, as those rivets will install through bare wood internally. Two of the side rivets install through the aluminum tongue & groove, or hybrid, extrusions and therefore require no backing washers.
THIS ITEM REQUIRES TWO CUTOUTS IN THE CASE WALLS TO INSTALL THE SPLIT DISH ASSEMBLY.

I have ordered and used this latch in past... It works so well I placed a new order of them.. I build flight cases for DJ Gear, And DJ Lighting and these latches work well..

I suppose the world needs more moderate reviews. The latch works just fine, there's nothing wrong with it except that the key is a bit hard to get a grip of to pull it up and twist. It's a minor detail, but it's what you're going to be doing with the latch for most of its life. ::::::::::::::::::::: DIY Road Cases® Response ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Hi, You are correct, the twist latch on some of the small latches can be difficult to turn, as there is not much grip area. There's really no way around this regarding small latches that are required to fit into tight space dimensions. I experience the same thing myself when faced with utilizing such latches.
